Hideaki Sorachi is the creator of Gintama, an irreverent comedy set in a feudal Japan invaded by aliens. Running for 15 years in WSJ, Gintama is famous for its relentless fourth-wall breaking, spot-on parodies of other manga and surprising emotional depth that emerged between the laughs. It is one of the longest and most beloved comedy series in WSJ history.
