Created by Takehiko Inoue, it follows Hanamichi Sakuragi, a delinquent who joins his high school basketball team to impress a girl, only to fall in love with the sport. With over 170 million copies sold, Slam Dunk is one of the best-selling manga of all time and is credited with popularizing basketball in Japan.
