What it is about

Rokudenashi Blues debuted in Weekly Shōnen Jump issue 1012 on May 17, 1988, and ran until February 1997, almost nine years in the magazine. Created by Masanori Morita (who later drew Rookies), it follows Taison Maeda, a hot-headed first-year at Teiken High School in Kichijōji, Tokyo, who dreams of becoming a world boxing champion — and in the meantime ends up in brawls with the toughest delinquents in the city. One of the great yankī manga of the magazine, it was collected in 42 volumes. Its debut issue also carried Kochikame, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Dragon Ball.
